• Description: Pulmonary embolism (PE) in the elderly represents immediate threat of life. Especially in old age clinical sings of PE are non-specific and could be both underdiagnosed and overdiagnosed. The retrospective study of dates was aimed at conducting and analysis and comparison of pertinent influence od age, gender and immobility on occurence of PE and sudden death.
