| Description | Personal and place names represent two of the most important and numerous groups of the proper names. The basis of the known Old Czech personal names is formen by the names preserved in the written sources. Some of the researchers increase the repertory of the oldest Czech personal names by the names reconstructed from place names. The paper summarizes previous approaches within the Czech antropononomastics, points out the problems which can occure during the reconstruction of personal names from place names and on the basis of the new findings brings a proposal to solve some of them. |
