| Description | The presentation was dedicated to introduction of new discipline – Software studies – which is presented as a result of the contemporary situation of media, by theoretician named post-media age. The Software studies is seen as a fruitful alternative to the traditional way of new media art history construction, which is based on media-centric narrative which stress oppositions between new and old media, as well as they represents the call for reviving the discussion on historical and wider cultural context of media art production. Within the presentation the special attention was given to the concept of “hackability” with was introduced within Software studies by Mathew Fuller. |
