Description The exponential function is relatively simple and understandable part of elementary arithmetic. Permeates various sectors of society and is the cornerstone of the global economy. The trouble is that the possibilities of application of the exponential function in the real world are very limited. The globalized world is dependent on the use of nonrenewable fossil fuels, whose reserves are rapidly running out. Most economists believe in perpetual economic growth, but they miss its essence. Misunderstanding the nature of exponential growth can be worth billions of very serious consequences for the world economy.
