Description The charter deals with media education for children and youth with disabilities and disadvantage on the basis analysis of the Czech curricula in comparison with the example analysis of the educational plan Fördeschule in Baden-Württemberg. Research results show that information and communication technology (ICT) and related media education get more to the fore not only for its attractiveness, but also mainly for the subsequent practical use in a variety of professions. Media competence and mastery of basic ICT has become a necessary part of education for children and adolescents. The attractiveness of digital media facilitates their great representation in the content of leisure activities, but not necessarily a meaningful work with digital and multimedia technologies. To teach children and young people targeted use of ICT in all its forms is very important in intact individual, but also children and adolescents with special educational needs. An example might be learning boxes and modules useful in teaching to pupils with learning difficulties in special schools and primary schools for pupils with mild intellectual disabilities. These facts serve as a basis for the research.
