• Description: This embryo test finds broad application. In the present study, we have investigated effects of waste water treatment plants originating from the Czech Republic on D. rerio embryos in the acute test. Further, we discuss possible extension of the current assay by investigating other highly sensitive parameters of chronic toxicity such as expression of specific genes including aromatase B, vitellogenin 1, estrogen receptor alpha and beta-actin.
