Description This qualitative research study on the experience of the trainees of psychotherapy training was conducted according to grounded theory methodology. 11 in-depth interviews were conducted with the future trainees (who had already been admitted into the training) of the Training in psychotherapy integration (TPI). The goal of the study was to examin „How do the trainees achieve the certainty to enter the training in psychotherapy integration?“. The maing category called Gaining certainty and its 2 dimensions (to gain the certainty and the need for latitude; thorougness and and ability to let flow) , four phases (critical comparison, identification, self-confirmation, waiting) and 8 ways were described.
