Who is a student and what is student status?

The term "student status" is often used among university students, but formally there is no such thing. For simplicity, however, it is used to describe being a student.

As a student, you will receive a number of benefits, a selection of which we will present to you. It's important to know about them so you can take advantage of them. It is also important to understand exactly when and how these benefits end so that you don't get into an unnecessarily awkward situation.

So-called "student status" at the university is given to a person with an active bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree, regardless of age. It is created by regular or re-enrolment in studies and is lost by interruption or termination of studies.
