| Popis | The article deals with the problem of air pollution in Ostrava and its potential impact on the demographic features. The paper analyzes the results of expert studies and statistical data primarily from the Czech Statistical Office and the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic. The aim of this paper is to show that excessive air pollution can affect the development of some demographic indicators. The first part of the article characterizes the air conditions in Ostrava, the next section surveys the potential impact on morbidity, mortality and population growth in Ostrava. |
