| Popis | The author of this article describes in detail logistical support of the Byzantines of the crusaders during the first crusade which enabled the crusaders to achieve the main goal of their campaign - to take Jerusalem in 1099. The logistical support started on the Byzantine borders and continued more or less uninterrupted until the end of the crusade. Today, it's history is less known because of the misunderstanding and struggle between the crusaders and the emperor Alexios I Komnenos in 1098 over city of Antioch. |
