Popis The end of the Second World War brought a new beginning for Austrian children's and youth literature. The border with Germany was sealed off by the Allies, and the links with the outside world cut off and the authors were deprived of the basis of their letter: paper. Austria had to hope for the grace and paper resources of the four occupying powers. The lack of paper had an impact on everyday life, but also on the literature of the time. On the one hand adventure booklets, which were rejected as dirt and trash literature, on the other hand booklets and booklets, which were allegedly childish writings, but usually sprayed only kitsch. In the following decades, however, youth literature left kitsch and became a medium that absorbed, reflected upon and conveyed to the children the social climate of Austria.
