| Popis | The paper applies Vilmos Ágel’s theory of structural valency realization to certain prefixes in German and Czech which are viewed as valency realizations targeting the microstructural level. As valency realizations, they are included in a frequency count of expressions representing the local complements of the German and Czech verb meaning ‘move (to a certain place)’. A close study of contexts taken from electronic corpora of German and Czech reveals a stronger tendency for Czech to realize a local complement on both structural levels, while German, even though more readily compliant with realizations on a single structural level only, forces the realization of at least on local complement on either structural level. |
