Popis The effective management and appreciation of protected natural areas requires a thorough understanding of the intricate animal communities that have developed over time. A central goal of this complex study is to identify the diverse species of animals, plants, and microorganisms that constitute this complex biological community. This is particularly important for insects, which, due to their small size and biological characteristics, pose challenges in sampling and classification. This research contributes to a larger project launched in 2021 that aims to study the true fly fauna (Diptera) of the San Rossore Natural Park (Tuscany, Italy). As a result of extensive sampling, three species new to science are described and illustrated.
