| Popis | What influence do formative assessment strategies have on students in German as a foreign language classes? This question is the focus of my contribution on the topic of formative assessment. The discussion surrounding this type of assessment has become increasingly important in recent years, particularly in the context of changes in assessment culture and the promotion of learning processes. The aim of this paper is to analyze the effects of this method on learners and on teaching practice and to identify possible obstacles to its implementation. In the first part, three central strategies of formative assessment are presented and theoretically anchored. In the second part of the article, an empirical study conducted at a secondary school is presented. In addition to the positive effects on learners, the results also show challenges and difficulties in implementing formative assessment. The article concludes with a discussion of the central question and offers concrete suggestions for overcoming possible barriers. |
