| Popis | The increasing discharge of pharmaceutical waste poses severe risks to aquatic ecosystems and human health. Conventional treatment methods are insufficient, highlighting the need for efficient and sustainable solutions. Graphitic carbon nitride (g-CN) has gained a lot of attention as a photocatalytic agent for the degradation of pollutants in wastewater, as it has a non-toxic nature, low cost, environment-friendly precursors, and visible range (2.7 eV) photocatalysis. Its efficiency is limited by poor adhesion to substrates and instability when exposed to water streams, leading to delamination and release into the water. In this work, we prepared bio-inspired photocatalytic fabrics that mimic spider webs, fabricated by electrospinning synthetic polymers withembedded g-CN, offering enhanced mechanical stability while retaining the photocatalytic properties of g-CN. To further enhance performance, we employed atmospheric pressure plasma (diffuse coplanar surface barrier discharge) under various conditions, including distance, duration, and power, using plasma in different gaseous environments, and evaluated their efficiency in removing selected micropollutants. Surface functionalization by plasma is analyzed using surface-sensitive techniques, i.e., XPS and BET. Spectrophotometer, HPLC, and LC-MS are used The 4thPlasma Nanotechnologiesand Bioapplications Workshop20th–23rdOctober,2025, Češkovice, Czech Republic57to study the degradation efficiency. We intend to test the most effectively modified fabrics in treating real wastewater effluent. |
