| Popis | This research focuses on the study of the sulphide polymetallic mineralization at the site Dlouhá Ves – West (DV-W), which belongs to the Havlíčkův Brod ore district. The main literature source of my research was the final report on the deposit (Špaček, 1963). An indium (In) anomaly was identified in sphalerite samples from this type of mineralization. The aim of the research was to evaluate the geochemical and mineralogical characteristics of the DV-W site and to visualize drilling data using the 3D modelling software Leapfrog (Figure 1). Samples were obtained from drillhole cores and subjected to detailed analysis using the automated mineralogy method TIMA (Tescan Integrated Mineral Analyzer) and Electron Microprobe Analysis (EMPA). Indium concentrations above the detection limit ranged from 0.034 to 0.068 wt.%. Indium is usually bound in the structure of mineral sphalerite in a form of mineral inclusions (Seifert & Sandmann, 2006). In the case of the samples from DV-W, indium was homogeneously distributed within the sphalerite and no discrete indium-bearing mineral phases were identified. A negative correlation was observed between Fe/Zn and Mn/Zn ratios. The potential substitution of In and Cu for Zn in sphalerite was inconclusive, therefore further examination would require more sensitive methods such as laser ablation. |
