| Popis | This essay explores the manner in which ideologies influenced the formation, structure, and research activities of the Reinhard Heydrich Stiftung: Reichsstiftung für wissenschaftliche Forschung in Prag (Reinhard Heydrich Foundation: The Reich Foundation for Scientific Research in Prague) in Prague. It posits that two major ideological factors influenced the establishment and operations of this scientific institution. From its inception, the institution was conceptualized as an advisory scientific body that would support the national policy of the Reich executive in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Consequently, the foundation was subject to its ideological oversight and was expected to contribute to its Germanization objectives. Secondly, the personality of the foundation’s primary architect, the fervent National Socialist Hans Joachim Beyer, exerted a profound influence on the composition, scientific paradigm, and direction of research. |
