| Popis | Indoor air quality is a critical determinant of human health, particularly in residential environments where occupants spend a significant portion of their time. Central ventilation systems in apartment buildings, often neglected for decades, may harbor microbial contaminants that pose biological risks. In the Czech Republic, no legislation currently mandates the cleaning or maintenance of these systems, despite their potential to facilitate the spread of airborne pathogens. This pilot study investigates microbial contamination in residential ventilation systems and evaluates the associated health risks, with a focus on the detection of bacteria and fungi using advanced molecular techniques. |
