Popis This dissertation examines how teachers in secondary vocational education and training (VET) perceive, adopt, and implement artificial intelligence (AI) tools in school learning environments. Although research on AI in education is expanding, evidence from authentic VET teaching contexts remains limited, despite the growing need for AI literacy in technologically evolving industries. Building on established technology-adoption and knowledge-integration frameworks (TAM and UTAUT), the dissertation addresses the overarching question of how VET teachers implement AI tools and what factors influence this process. So far, it is organized into two phases: (1) a scoping review mapping existing studies on teacher use of AI and related digital technologies in school-based settings; (2) a quantitative survey of vocational teachers in the Czech Republic measuring adoption-related constructs (e.g., performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence), AI literacy, AI self-efficacy, attitudes toward AI, institutional support, and the frequency and purposes of AI use, with demographic moderators (age, gender, teaching experience, and specialization).
