| Popis | The chapter provides an overview of the link of digitalisation with health and social inequalities among older workers (50+) in Czechia. Specifically, the authors (1) describe inequalities between younger and older workers resulting from digitalisation; (2) examine the policies and practices introduced in the Czech Republic to address social inequalities; (3) assess the potential link of digitalisation with the health and well-being of older workers; and (4) identify practices, programmes, or initiatives available in Czechia that help manage the impact of digitalisation on the health of older individuals. The chapter concludes that although Czechia has made some steps in recognizing and responding to the digital and health challenges faced by ageing workers, much of the research work remains in its infancy, and sustained, targeted, and empirically-informed policy action is vital to ensure that the ongoing digital transformation becomes not a divider, but a driver of social and health equity among older workers. |
