| Popis | For the first time in Czech history, the Czech Constitutional Court on September 10, 2009 abrogated a Constitutional Law because it held it to be contradictory to the core values of the Czech constitution. This contribution wants to introduce the ruling of the court and the ensuing discussion to non-Czech readers and open a debate about the appropriateness of the courts decision and its reasons also outside the Czech Republic. |
