General information
The admission procedure is an administrative process set to determine whether or not an applicant shall be admitted to studies in an accredited degree programme. The admission procedure begins with the submission of an application to an MU faculty and proceeds in compliance with the Higher Education Act and Masaryk University Statutes. The admission procedure ends with a decision on admission or denial of admission to studies in the degree programme and field of study listed in the entrance application. Should the applicant withdraw the application or fail to complete the requirements imposed by the admission procedure (in particular the entrance examinations), all fees associated with the admission procedure are considered non-refundable.
The application may be submitted electronically at

prihlaska
Applications are to be submitted from 1 November 2012 to 28 February 2013.
Should a given field of study fail to reach full capacity, the faculty may extend the application deadline. More information about submitting applications after the application deadline is available at individual faculty offices for studies.
Application fees
Fees associated with admission procedures at all Masaryk University faculties have been set at 400 CZK apart from the Faculty of Sports Studies, bachelor's degree programmes (550 CZK) and the Faculty of Medicine, bachelor's field of study Paramedic (600 CZK). The applicant is required to pay the fee for each submitted application. Payment information for each electronic application including an individually assigned identification code is generated by the Information System following the submission of the online form. It is not necessary to confirm payment by post. Applicants who fail to attend the entrance examinations will not be refunded.
Alternate examination date
An alternate entrance examination (specialization entrance exam, practical entrance exam) date may be set only following the lodging of a written request with the dean of the appropriate faculty.
Application completness requirements
In the event that the applicant graduated from secondary school abroad (this does not apply to applicants from the Slovak Republic), it is necessary to confirm his or her education abroad in the Czech Republic as long as an international treaty does not indicate otherwise.
Applicants with disabilities
Applicants with physical and sensory disabilities potentially affecting either their entrance examination outcomes or their studies may indicate this information in the electronic application form, thus requesting treatment matching their communicative capabilities. In this case, a ZTP identity card copy or a statement of disability must be sent to the following address:
Support Centre for Students with Special Needs
Masaryk university
Sumavska 15, 602 00 Brno
Entrance examination dates
Faculties are required to make entrance examination dates public. Applicants applying for studies at more than one faculty, degree programme or field of study are encouraged to check the relevant entrance examination dates. Participating in an entrance examination at another faculty does not constitute sufficient grounds for seeking an alternate entrance examination date in a given field of study or degree programme.
Administrative matters associated with the admission procedure are to be settled by the applicant and the office for studies at the relevant faculty (contact information is to be found at the List of Offices for Studies website).
Electronic application advantages
On filling out an electronic form when submitting an entrance application, a password for further contact with the relevant Dean’s Office as well as a unique identification code necessary for service fee payment are automatically issued (please do not pay before you have been assigned an identification code). Payment details and entrance application status are available online. Notifications regarding entrance examinations shall be issued by the relevant office for studies by email, etc.
