A word of introduction
Dear applicants for employment at MUNI,
We would now like to introduce you to the Faculty of Economics and Administration at Masaryk University. Founded in 1991, it was the first post-November faculty at MU. Today, we provide economic education to almost three thousand students, teaching not only in Czech but also in English and French.
We are a modern academic workplace combining cutting-edge research, high-quality teaching and a friendly approach with responsibility towards the environment and people. We employ 250 people full-time and part-time, including 140 members of academic staff. We are proud that 96% of our graduates say they are satisfied with what the school has given them in life.
If you are interested in the positions available at our faculty and would like to find out more about life here, read on or come and visit us at one of our lectures or events.
We look forward to meeting you.

ECON MUNI is made up of people
- We are proud recipients of the HR Award
The Faculty of Economics and Administration has received the HR Award from the European Commission for the second time. This confirms our long-term commitment to systematically improving working conditions and creating an environment conducive to work, learning, and research.
What does the HR Award mean to us? The HR Award is not just an award, but a tool for improving workplace culture. We focus mainly on ethics and professional aspects, quality recruitment and selection procedures, support for the career and professional development of employees, improving working conditions, and caring for doctoral students and supervisors.
What we have already achieved:
- We have streamlined employee care processes (e.g., recruitment, selection, adaptation, evaluation).
- We have improved internal communication (e.g., by introducing an employee newsletter and bilingual communication).
- We have implemented courses on the popularization of science, gender issues, and crisis situations, and we offer courses focused on social safety and SEDUO courses.
- We have introduced a new career system.
- We have set new rules for working hours and employee remuneration.
- We work with talented individuals and caregivers.

What's new in science and research
- The DiCiM project research team is developing modern digital solutions that enable intelligent tracking and monitoring of products during their use, effective reverse logistics management, and provide tools for rapid and flexible value recovery. The aim of the project is to provide innovative technologies that increase operational efficiency, improve the transparency of product flows, and support sustainable and agile processes throughout the entire product life cycle.
- We also have a specialized research group that focuses on demographic change in society and the model of healthcare accessibility for the aging population. AGEING research also addresses the impact of population aging on the labor market, behavioral aspects, and social and biological influences on health.
- At the Faculty of Economics and Administration of Masaryk University, we have an experimental laboratory where researchers study human behavior—even economics can be the subject of controlled experiments.
- Our researchers also focus on topics such as pension reform, high-speed railways, and the stock market.
