PhD Summer School

For the fourth time, a PhD Summer School focused on the development of pedagogical and communication skills took place at the University Center in Telč in August. All participants enjoyed it to the fullest and they will certainly transform acquired knowledge and experience into amazing results not only in the form of great teaching. This year's novelty was a course focused on the use of Microsoft technologies in teaching, teamwork or in conducting final theses.

Registration for FRESHERS: Skills for Research Career launched!

FRESHERS is primarily intended for PhD students who are interested in the topics that young scientists meet at the beginning of their scientific careers. The course aims to offer a general overview of topics such as the possibilities of foreign exchanges within the framework of PhD studies, preparation and funding of research projects, publication ethics, science and research results communication, intellectual property, etc. Thus the skills and abilities of young scientists useful for international projects and research structures should be supported and strengthened. You can register the course FRESHERS here.

The introductory lectures will be followed by expanding workshops to discuss the specific topics in more depth and on a practical level. FRESHERS workshops will be organized thanks to the project of the Internal Grant Agency of Masaryk University (IGA MU). PhD students will then be able to apply for a student grant within this project. Participation in these workshops is not mandatory, but if you decide to complete them, you must register. Further information including the registration instruction will be sent to all registered students via e-mail.
