Vitaly Shentaliski organized at the time of perestroika committee
investigating the fate of persecuted Russian writers. He first published
materials from the archives of the secret services on major Russian writers (M.
Bulgakov, M. Gorky, O. Mandelstam, Platonov A., M. Cvetajeva, M. Sholokhov, A.
Achmatova, B. Pasternak and many others). Vitaly Shentalinski´s books were
published in nine languages, Czech has failed.
