Dear madam, dear sir, we would like to invite you to the 3rd international conference Universal Learning Design hosted by Masaryk University in Brno from 11 to 15 February 2013 (more information about the event is available at the calendar of events (http://www.muni.cz/teiresias/events/calendar/36351233?lang=en) or at the conference web page (www.uld-conference.org/en).

Topical section of the conference:
1. Standards of Universal Learning Design at Universities and Testing of Persons with Special Needs
2. Linguistic Competence of the Hearing Impaired and the Role of Sign Languages and the Text Reporting in Tertiary Education
3. Universal Design of Electronic Documents and Public Electronic Libraries for Purposes of Tertiary Education
4. Compensation Tools for the Specific Learning Disorders and Other Types of Diversity in Tertiary Education

We invite you to contribute to the program of ULD by submitting and presenting papers coming from research and development, service provision for people with disabilities, industry and counselling.
Papers should focus on the advancement of Universal Learning Design in theory and practice. Proposals will be reviewed by the ULD programme committee and accepted contributions will be published in the ULD Proceedings. ULD also welcomes proposals to organize hands-on workshops either following a presentation of a paper or as an independent session.

Papers:
Extended abstracts of papers should be up to 2 A4 pages in length.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 1 December 2012.
All the papers submitted for the conference will be reviewed by a scientific committee and the notification of acceptance will be sent on 10 December 2012 at the latest.

Posters, workshops and special topical meetings:
Proposals of presentations in the form of posters, workshops, special topical meetings and company presentations are welcome.
You can submit proposals for workshops until 1 December 2012.
The deadline for posters is 1 January 2013.
