Propagation of science with an American lecturer

How to communicate with journalists and the public , American scientists and what this experience can be transferred to the Czech Republic ? And as all the scientific knowledge to take the public? About this two-day course will talk Ashley J. Yeager , a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who works as a web editor sciencenews.org and science writing at Duke University in the USA . Experience with the popularization of the science journal Nature also has a WM Keck Observatory in Hawaii. The course is an extraordinary opportunity to Czech
heading exceptionally. The course will be held in English.
When: Thursday and Friday, the 20th and 21 February 9 am to 5 pm.
The first day of training, which will be held in the building of the Rectorate of Masaryk University, participants learn what methods can be information about the spread of scientific knowledge in society and how to maximize the impact of information .
The second day of the training takes place in a newly built TV studio at the Faculty of Social Studies , where participants try presenting scientific evidence in front of the camera. Their task will also create a short message about scientific work suitable for dissemination to the media and social networks.
