Colloquium War and Peace in Central Europe – in Historical Memory and Literary Reflexion

The colloquium is organized by the Austrian Ministry for Foreign Affairs in partnership with the Masaryk University, within the framework of the colloquim of Austria Libraries Abroad organized in the Czech Republic (September 20-27, 2014).
Lectures will be given on war issues in works of Czech, German and Austrian writers, on the Sarajevo assassination, on the Sokol Festival in Brno and also on the pan-European idea of Richard Coudenhove-Kalergi. The lectures will be delivered in German and are open to broad public, admission free.
The colloquim is held on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Masaryk University, under the auspices of Mikuláš Bek, the Masaryk University Rector and Milan Pol, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University.
