GIS Day at Department of Geography, Faculty of Science

On November 19 join in the worldwide celebration of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Day at the Department of Geography, Faculty of Science of Masaryk University. This global event has been organized since 1999. Experts from various institutions will present and demonstrate to you geographic information systems and different tasks that may be conducted using GIS.


The program at the Department of Geography is divided into two parts. The morning program will aim at high school students. Further information and registration form for this section is available on the web: www.gisday.unas.cz.


On the other hand, general public as well as students/staff of Masaryk University are cordially invited to the afternoon program, i.e. starting at 3 p.m. The afternoon will be devoted to presentations and demonstrations of GIS technology.
