Petra Ježková is presenting her book Walled by the Nation of Playwrights. Jan Lier (1852–1917) published by Academia Publishing House in 2014. The keynote of the lecture, the complex nature of dramaturgy of the Czech National Theatre at the end of the 19th century, is being presented on the case of Jan Lier’s unrelenting and troublesome fight for the recognition of Julius Zeyer, one of the best poets and playwrights of the period.
