Romance Studies and Spanish Drama

Two scholars from the Department of Romance Studies, Masaryk University, Brno, are presenting on early modern and modern Spanish drama: Jan Darebný discusses the intricacies of translating verse drama with special regard to Spanish polymetrics; Daniel Vázques Touriňo demonstrates, through the analysis of play !Ay, Carmela! (1987) by José Sanchis Sinisterra, one of the best dramatic pieces written after the end of dictatorship in Spain, concept of theatre as a memory.
