Dr. Ákos Seress, Ph.D. (University of Kaposvár, Hungary) will deliver a lecture Theater of Fragmentation - On the Works of Edward Albee. The lecture will start at 12:30 in the room G31, at Gorkého 7, Brno.

In the lecture, dr. Seress will present a rather broad perspective on the plays of Edward Albee. He will argue that the American dramatist is much closer to the Post-modern dramatic language, than it is accepted by theater criticism.
For the theoretical background, cognitive studies and New Historicism are going to be used. The following plays will be interpreted: The Zoo Story, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and The American Dream.
