Iaponica Brunensia 2015
Seminar of Japanese Studies announces that the 1st international conference IAPONICA BRUNENSIA 2015 on the topic of "Japan as a Text" will be held on 18-19 September 2015.
Its main objective is to introduce a broad range of research in the field of European Japanese Studies that uses texts as the main source of knowledge about the culture of Japan. Speakers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland or Slovenia will present their research concerning the Japanese language, literature, religion, society etc. Professor emeritus Seiichi Makino from the Princeton University in the USA will be the keynote speaker.
The conference will be held in room D21 at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University (Arne Nováka 1, Brno, building D, 2nd floor). The conference languages are English and Japanese.
