Intergenerational Learning: Workplace Learning, Community Learning and Learning within the Family

  • 19 – 20 November 2015

International Symposium Intergenerational Learning: Workplace Learning, Community Learning and Learning within the Family deals with a phenomenon which naturally accompanies us through all stages of life. If we think of intergenerational learning as a set of specifically created activities, then we can use Fischer’s definition viewing intergenerational learning as “a practice that aimed to bring people together in purposeful, mutually beneficial activities, which promoted greater understanding and respect between generations and could contribute to building more cohesive communities.”

The symposium will be held on November 19 to 20, 2015 at the Department of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University. The symposium will be followed by meeting of the network Workplace learning which operates within the framework of ASEM LLL Research Hub.
