| Description | Kernel density estimates belong to the class of the nonparametric density estimates. These estimates depend on a bandwidth matrix which affects the amount and the orientation of the smoothing. We focus on the iterative method for finding the optimal bandwidth matrix and on the quality of the estimated density functions. In particular, we study these estimates for small samples. |
