Description Presented article deals with the testing of hearing in children of early age and follow-up care in case of confirmation of hearing impairment. Early detection of hearing loss in children and an adequate compensation of hearing loss can significantly affect not only the child's language development. Current trends in the care of children with severe hearing loss demonstrate the importance of ensuring neonatal hearing screening in newborns. It is possible to receive hearing aids since one month of age and cochlear implant before the first birthday of the child in the case of small or zero benefit of hearing aids for the development of language skills.
