| Description | The contribution deals with the position of stylistics among other philological disciplines. The focus is not only on the relationship of stylistics towards literary theory and poetics, but also on the relationship of stylistics towards traditional grammar and lexicology. An important issue is also the relationship of stylistics towards language cultivation as a specific discipline shown from both traditional and modern points of view. Attention is also paid to the extent in which the development of communicational needs of the society and the development of technologies of communication are reflected in the process of stylization and consequently in theoretical stylistics. |
