Description The article is dedicated to the environmental topic with a special focus on the relation of nature and culture in historical and pedagogical context. Based on the results of a qualitative research, the authors deal with the possibilities of the school curriculum and its educational potential, which is represented by a specific educational programme, dedicated to the way of life of prehistoric pickers and hunters, which is built on constructivist principles and the basis of which is pupils’ cooperation. The educational content in the area of didactics of history is examined in the context of a biophile focusing in education. A recording of a final verbal reflexion made during the implementation of the programme was subjected to a qualitative analysis and taken to a wider environmental context. In the empirical processing of the pupils’ artefacts, a methodology of the grounded theory was used.
