| Description | The talk focuses on the usage, semantic shifts and some axiological aspects of political correctness as illustrated on the case study of the media discourse on the Czech-German Declaration o fMutual Relations (1997). It will also consider this issue as reflected in other European languages. The talk will explore the pragmatic aspects of the given phenomenon, and its degree of expressiveness (negative, positive, neutral) in particular. |
