Description The paper deals with 1 150 anniversary of the arrival of the Byzantine missionaries Constantine-Cyril and Methodius to Moravia.He points out that gaps in the sources trying different investigators use the sensational discoveries.It does so postmodern methodologies. Among other things, taking advantage of the selection of historical sources.Draws particular attention to work of the historian Imre Boba from the the 70th years of the 20th century. He also points to the work of his followers from the late 20th and the beginning of the 21st century. Their post-modern "discovery" is characterized as a new attempt to determining the place where she was the mission of Cyril and Methodius.These authors placed Great Moravia to the south - from Sremska Mitrovica (antique Syrmium) up to the confluence the Serbian Morava River into the Danube.Author of the study demonstrates that the these views are not substantiated through archaeological research.Against the localization to Syrmium, and further to the south they speak also philological sources.
