Description Endovenous ablation of varicose veins is a very frequent treatment method which more or less replaces the classic stripping method. It has its limitations, advantages as well as disadvantages. The Authors present the summarizing article together with their own experience with these methods. The histology examinations prove difference in reaction of endothelium to individual types of endovenous therapy. Causes of failures of varicose veins treatment are discussed.
