Description Caesarean section in our country ends nearly a quarter of all births, and it can be assumed that this trend will continue despite all efforts to rise. With increasing age of mothers, their higher co-morbidity, increasing the number of states after previous caesarean section and many other causes. Its share has undoubtedly also decreasing willingness of obstetricians to risk in borderline situations obstetric management of spontaneous delivery. The increasing number of caesarean sections increased the importance and influence of anaesthesia administered. As well as elsewhere in the world, in our country we record for the last 20 years, the rise of regional anesthesia to general anaesthesia, so currently have regional anaesthesia prevails. If we look at specific but current figures show the alarming gap between the Czech Republic and the rest of the world.
