| Description | An old queen wants to retire and is urging her son to get married. However, he doesn't fancy any of the princesses he's being set up with. When the last princes enters the castle, prince's heart starts racing and he falls in love. Nevertheless, he falls in love with the princess' brother. The love is mutual so a royal wedding is arranged. In the Netherlands, this thin book was published already in 2000 with a support of the Groter groeien magazine, which is the local equivalent of the Czech magazine for mothers with children called Betynka. Issuing a Dutch fairy tale portraying the love of people of the same sex and aimed at children as young as 3 to 4 is ground-breaking in Czech context. In addition, it is a book with distinctive artistic interpretation that is special not only by its content, but also by the expressive illustration and original typography. |
