| Description | The presentation introduced examples of verse novels for young adult readers in English speaking countries. Verse novels represent the latest development of literature for young readers, and they work with contemporray issues (such as identity, history, relations, etc.). A free-verse form of the novel contributes to an active approach of the young reader to the text. The prestige of verse novels is evidenced in several national book awards. |
