| Description | In this paper I intend to the interaction of music with propaganda, and to trace the bases that enable propaganda to use music as a carrier of ideas. The aim of the paper is to answer the question what makes music so exploitable for propaganda purposes and I come to the conclusion that the answer lies in music´s immense ability to affect human emotions and in determination by the context in which the music is set. Musical examples of Polish postwar music are used for illustrative purposes. |
