| Description | The book gives reader an insight into the nature of the used manner of physical-geographical regionalization. The applied "top-down" approach is based on a constant division of the territory of interest into smaller and more homogeneous units as the definition criteria of landscapes are gradually chosen and specified. The 271 types of natural landscape of the Czech Republic presented in the catalogue were identified at the resolution 1:500 000 using by this procedure. The principles of classification and typology of the identified natural landscapes of the Czech Republic are listed in the hierarchical (multilevel) dendrogram of relationships between types of units. |
