| Description | This publication presents a new approach to addressing the issue of domestic violence. The publication aims to analyze the very concept of “domestic violence”, which penetrated into our professional language only recently. The interest in this problem was the fact that this phenomenon has become the subject of legislation. The author of the publication outlines the fundamental methodological change in the definition of legal definitions of domestic violence, because it is a vague concept. The author sees the clear definition as problematic, with the knowledge that is tied to an interdisciplinary approach. She believes that the vagueness of the conceptual definition of domestic violence is not a reason for the resignation, but the motive for the search for new methodological foundations, which are discussed in the second part of the publication. |
