| Description | This publication deals with the major Western theories of translation. The first part is devoted to a historical overview of theoretical discourses on translation (especially literary, but also in the humanities) in France, England, Germany, in the period from the late 15th century to the early 20th century. The second part focuses on several translation theories dominant in Western countries (Europe, USA) from the second half of the 20th century to the present. |
