Description | This article explores the theme developed by Malkiel (1941), entitled "The amulatado type in Spanish." The formal structure of these voices implies a previous verbal action, and thus the previous existence of a verb, so that this would take the role of base to generate such formations. However, our analysis reveals that not all occurrences of voices in -ado respond to an originally verbal configuration, but rather show properties that approach them to the category of adjective. Our goal is to propose a solution to how to define a-X-ado formations, especially in its first occurrences, previous to the verb, and support the relationship between the schemes [a-X-ado] and [a-X-ar] on analogy principle. |
