Description Nowadays the cultural management is a widely discussed topic due to the fact that economic and social importance of the cultural and creative industries in the long term increases. According to the current Czech cultural policy, cultural and creative sector in the EU has grown the last few years by more than 12% points faster than the average for other sectors of the EU, for example in 2003, the sector achieved a turnover of more than e 654 billion, which is more than e.g. turnover of an automobile manufacturing. It is no coincidence that cultural management as a specific discipline is taught in Czech and foreign universities and is the subject of scientific research in the field of cultural studies. Cultural management is different from the usual management in response to the specific social function of culture in society. This function consists of the performance of public services involving the support of culture in society. Even the European Union has repeatedly stressed the importance of fulfilling the cultural function of the state.
